      PRESTON, Archibald Collins, 73, formerly of Preston, died Sunday at Elgin Hospital, St. Thomas. Mr. Collins was born in Hespeler and had lived in Preston, for 35 years. He was section foreman for the Grand River Railway, for 35 years and had worked for the railway, for 40 years. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church and a member of the local Canadian Legion. Mr. Collins had served overseas in the First World War with the Canadian railway troops. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rose Goldsmith, in 1946 and one son, George, who was killed in the Second World War, in Italy. Surviving are three sons, Reginald of Blair, Robert of Winona and Richard of Preston: two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ellen) Martin of Aylmer and Mrs. Roy (Barbara) Holm, Pembroke; two brothers, Daniel of Palmerston and James of Toronto and 17 grandchildren. The body will be at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Preston cemetery. Canon R. T. Appleyard of St. John's Anglican Church will officiate.
