    • George Farley

      PRESTON — George Farley, Preston resident for 50 years, died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. R. Ball, 519 Waterloo St. South yesterday, at the age of 89. Mr. Farley had been ailing for several years. Born near Alma, Ont., April 25, 1883, he was employed as a stationary engineer at Palmerston in his early years. For some years he was employed with George Pattinson and Co. and then was engaged as an operator for the Grand River Railway for 24 years until his retirement in 1928. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church. His wife, Eva Giles, predeceased him in September, 1943. Surviving are two daughters. Mrs. A. R. (Flora) Ball and Mrs. C. (Charlotte) Malcolm of Preston; a son, Frank Farley of Edmonton, Alta.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted by Rev. H. J. Herlihey Wednesday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
