  Mrs. Alice Holland PRESTON— Mrs. Alice Holland, 77, of 325 Church St., died at her home here yesterday, after a short illness. The former Alice Thompson of England, Mrs. Holland came to Preston 55 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, 14 years ago. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church and of Queen Rebecca Lodge here. Surviving are a sister, Lily Thompson, a son Walter, both of Preston, a brother, John Thompson, of Toronto and three grandchildren. The body is at Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where private service will be conducted Tuesday, at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery with Canon the Rev. R. T. Appleyard officiating.
