  PEARSELL, Allen Herbert Died peacefully, at his home, Golden Years Retirement Lodge, Cambridge, on Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Hirst (1972) and dear father of the late William (Joan) Victoria. B.C. and the late Leonard (Elsie) of Cambridge. Allen is survived by his son. Norman (Sandy) of Dwight. Ontario. Lovingly remembered by close friends Carol and Bob Beaver and family of Cambridge. Allen was the dear grandfather of seven and will be fondly missed by the many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Allen is predeceased by grandson, Donald Pearsell of Victoria, B.C. Allen was born in Cannington, Ont., (Brock township) in 1900; son of the late Arrnanda Parliament and Robert Pearsell. Allen came to Preston from Toronto in 1920 and was employed over the years at Canadian Brass, Hurlbut Shoe Co., Babock Wilcox, Goldie and McCullaugh then joined Dominion Tire (Uniroyal Goodrich) in 1927, retiring in 1965. Allen began an affiliation with St. John's Anglican Church in 1920 and was a lifelong member. He was also a member of the OddFellows Lodge for many years. Allen will be well remembered by his family, friends and the staff at Golden Years Retirement Lodge as a very caring and kind friend to all. A special thank you to all the staff at Golden Years. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998 at 1 p.m., Canon David Bowyer officiating.
