      PRESTON, May 5— The death ocurred today at the Hamilton Gerneral Hospital of William Wing. The late Mr. Wing, who was 71 years old, was born in Yorkshire, England. He came to Canada 33 years ago, coming directly to Preston, where for eight years he was employed by the Car and Coach Company, for the past 25 years he had been working at the Clare Bros. Foundry. He was identified with the Baptist Church. Seriously ill for the past seven weeks he had been ailing for eight years. The deceased belonged to the Baracus and he was an honorary life member of the Clare Brothers Benefit Society. He was employed for many years as a first aid man being a St. John Ambulance worker and holding many medals for work done in that capacity, he was an instructor of first aid in the local CDC. The late Mr. Wing is survived by his wife, nee Jane Hacket, one daughter, Mrs. F. Randall, Kitchener Highway, Preston and two sons, Reginald and Arnold of Preston. A sister, Mrs. Porter in England, also survives, and ten grandchildren. He was a member of the Preston Council in 1923. The deceased is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home until Thursday at 4 o'clock, at which time he will be removed to the residence, 196 Francis Street, for the funeral on Friday at 2: 30 p.m. Interment will take place in the Preston Cemetery.
