    • One of Preston's oldest residents, in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at 1 o'clock on Sunday morning, October 21, 1951, in her 90th year. Widow of Joseph Adams, who predeceased her eight years ago. She had been ailing for about a month and had been seriously ill, confined to hospital for a week. She resided at 541 William St in Preston. She was born in Puslinch Township, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Eagle. She came to Preston sixty years ago and has resided here since that time, gaining a large circle of friends. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church. Survived by a son, James Grobe of Preston; a daughter, Winnie (Mrs. Bert Dawes of Montreal; a stepson, Frank Adams of Elmira; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bert Travel) of Toronto; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters predeceased her. Service at the Stager-Pass Ltd. Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2: 30, with Rev. F. C. Miller of St. Paul's United Church officiating. It was largely attended and there were many floral tributes. Pallbearers: Reuben Eagle, N. O. Hipel, George Guenther, Peter Lamb, Charles Whitelaw and A. G. Alles, all of Preston. Interment Preston Cemetery.
