- Joseph Adams, 80, of Preston, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 23rd at the Toronto Mercy Hospital after an illness of two months. He took sick while visiting his daughter, Mrs. B. Travell, Toronto. Mr. Adams was born near St. Clements and had lived in Kitchener, Preston and Elmira. Mrs. Adams, his second wife, because of illness, had been living with her son, James Grobe, Preston, and Mr. Adams had been visiting with his son, Frank J. Adams prior to his Toronto visit. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Travell, Toronto, a son Frank of Elmira and five grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning at St. Theresa RC Church, Elmira. Prior to the service, prayers were said in the chapel. Interment was made in St. Clements RC Cemetery.The remains arrived from Toronto at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel on Friday.
