- MRS. ALFRED MORTIMER
The death occurred at 7.30 this morning, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. and Arthur Stewart, Eagle street, Preston, of Mary Ann Turner, relict of the late Alfred Mortimer. The deceased who was in her 73rd year was born in Marsden, Yorkshire, England, and came to Canada, 20 years ago, living in Preston all that time. She was a member of St. John's Anglican church. One son, Harry of Mt. Clemens, Mich. and one daughter, Mrs. A. Stewart of Preston survive. There are seven granchildren: Mrs. George Linfoot and Mrs. Frank Kreason, of Preston; Ernest Sherrif of Toronto and Percy, Alice and Mary Mortimer of Mt. Clemens, Mich. and two great-grandchildren, Bobby Kreason and Edith Linfoot of Preston. Rev. W. E. Bagnall will officiate at the funeral which will be held on Friday at 2.30 p.m. interment will be made in the Preston cemetery.
