- Norman Gooding
Norman Gooding of 104 Margaret Ave. died at St. Mary's Hospital Saturday after a brief illness. He was 75.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Gooding, he was born in Glen Allan Sept. 28, 1893. He lived in the Twin Cities for the past 41 years. For 20 years he was employed at B.F. Goodrich Canada Ltd. He retired in 1961. He was a veteran of the First World War and served overseas. He was a member of Trinity United Church. His wife, the former Mabel McCrae, predeceased him in January, 1962. He was also predeceased by one daughter, Mabel, in 1950.
Surviving are four sons, Norman of Waterloo and Thomas, Reginald and Alexander, all of Kitchener; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Lehmann, Mrs. Lorne (Patricia) Witschonski and Mrs. Anthony (Shirley) Zahra, all of Kitchener and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and George.
The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. J. H. Patterson of Trinity United Church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
