LISTOWEL Funeral services for Meredith D. Lavery, 69, were held here yesterday. He died suddenly at his home on Saturday,
Conducted by Rev. J. D. Martin, the funeral was held from the family residence on Wallace St. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Born at Dorking, Mr. Lavery was cabinet maker by trade and at the time of his death was employed by the Andrew Malcolm -furniture factory. He was a member of Listowel United Church and the IOOF Lodge.
A son of the late Meredith Lavery and his wife, Margaret Williams, he married Margaret, Pearl Hastings on April 21, 1920.
Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Murray (Marjorie) Lavery; four brothers, Graham of Kincardine, Ralph of Dorking, Pemberton of Elmira and Stanley of Guelph; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar. (Gertrude) Lanz of Linwood, Mrs. George (Margaret) Murray of Moorefield and Edna of Moorefield.
