- Boy, sister drown in Nova Scotia
A brother and sister from Cambridge drowned while on vacation on Cape Breton, 70 miles west of Sydney, N.S., Monday. Dead are Michele Theresa Weston, 10, of 398 Garden St. and her brother, Roy Francis, 6, the only children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weston. RCMP were unable to explain the drownings of the children, who attended St. Clements school in Cambridge. A spokesman said the two children were last seen alive playing with a ball at Port Hood Beach. Their bodies were discovered floating near the shoreline. The family was visiting Mrs. Weston's relatives in the area.
