  EGGERT, JOHN WILLIAM "BILL" A well known Hespeler district resident, of R. R. #2, Hespeler, in South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, early on Friday, March 8, 1963. Mr. Eggert, who was in his 76th year, had been in hospital for ten days. Born in Preston, son of the late John Eggert and Mary Fach, he had resided in Puslinch Township for the past ten years. He was a mechanic and was employed by the Guelph Sand and Gravel until his retirement five years ago. He was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church in Hespeler and of the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Maud Kelly, whom he married in Hespeler in 1911; two sons, James of Ottawa; Willard, at home; two daughters, Violet, at home and Jean (Mrs. Joseph Carter) of Guelph. A daughter, Marion (Mrs. Ed Burnett) died in 1948. Maurice J. O'Brien Funeral Residence, 328 Lowther St. (at Laurel) in Preston. Requiem mass sung at 10 on Monday by Rev. D. D. Simpson in St. Mary of the Visitation Church. Numerous floral and spiritual tributes were offered. Casket-bearers: Gerald Schwantz, Bernard Goodburn and Robert From from Hespeler; Harold Smith, Thomas Hilton and Hugh Dickison of Guelph. Interment St. Clement's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
