WASELWEICZ INJURY CAUSED BY BLOW, JURY TOLD

Dr. Harold Dawson, who performed the post mortem examination on Michael Waselweicz, who died under mysterious circumstances early yesterday morning, declared at the inquest this afternoon that Waaclweiez, came to his death as the result of being struck on the forehead by some blunt instrument which fractured his skull. He also declared that there is a possibility that the man died from suffocation after he had been hit on the skull. The fracture was a very vital one on the side and front of the head, about three inches long and from one and a half to two inches in width. The doctor said that the stomach contents showed evidence that the man had been drinking. He believed that the man was alive when the bed began to burn. Dr. Dawson stated that he did not believe the man could have caused the fracture himself by stumbling against something while wandering about in a drunken condition. The man, in the opinion of the doctor, was dead about eight hours before the body was found, as rigormortis indicated this. He believed his death occurred about 2.30 or 3.00 o'clock in the morning.
