  Joseph Carney PRESTON—Well-known Preston resident for the past 42 years, Joseph Francis Carney, 62, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Sunday. Until the time of his illness he was employed as foreman of the packing room of the Canadian Office and School Furniture, Preston. A member of St. Clement's RC Church he was also a member of the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Julia Pawelko; a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Marguerite) Worden of Preston, and a son, Frank, at home; and four grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home until Wednesday when requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the RC Cemetery.
