  BERGES, Joseph Edwin Joe entered into eternal life with his God on Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at the age of 84 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Clements RC Church. Joe was the beloved husband for 51 years of Marianne (nee Pautler) and a devoted and loving father to his daughters, Sister Mary Jane of the School of Sisters of Notre Dame, Hamilton and Joanne Lambke of Cambridge. Joe delighted in his grandchildren, Bob and Jennifer Lambke and was cherished by them. He was predeceased by his parents, Sophie and Edwin Berges and his brother, John. He is survived by his brothers, Frank and Clarence. Joe worked at St. Clements School (Custodian) and the Preston Post Office. His God, his church and his family were Joe's priorities. He also had a great love of and respect for wildlife, streams and woodlands. Joe's sense of humor and love of great music filled his home with Joy and laughter. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, at St. Clements RC Church, at 10 a.m. The Record Newspaper 2 Feb 1998 pg B3
