    • PRESTON - Joseph Imper, Preston resident for 25 years, died at his home, 540 Moore st. yesterday at the age of 56 years. Mr. Imper had been ailing for 18 years, but seriously ill for only two weeks. Born in Yugoslavia, March 18, 1896, he came to Canada in 1928, directly to Preston. A stationary engineer by occupation he was employed in that capacity for seven years after making his home in Preston, but due to ill health was obliged to retire in 1936. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, Preston. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Hewald; two sons, John at home and Joseph of Preston, and a daughter, Mrs. J. (Hedy) Caskenette of Preston. Two grandchildren also survive. The body will rest at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home until Monday when requiem high mass will be solemnized at St. Clement's RC Church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in the Preston RC Cemetery
