Notes - Mathias StumpilichPRESTON, Mathias Stumpilich, Preston resident for the past two years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Neu, 431 Dover St. South, Preston, Sunday afternoon. The deceased, who was in his 68th year, suffered a stroke, 17 years ago. Born in Romania, the late Mr. Stumpilich, resided in that country until two years ago, when he came to Canada, living in Preston since that time. He was a farmer by occupation in Romania. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church. He was married in 1909 in Romania to Margaret Klein, who survives. Surviving, in addition to his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Peter Neu (Christine) of Preston, Mrs. Hannah Hahst and Mrs. Margaret Kemmerer, both in Romania and a brother, John, in Romania. Two brothers predeceased him in Romania. The late Mr. Stumpilich is at the Stager-Pass Ltd., funeral home until Wednesday, at 8: 30 a.m., thence to St. Clement's Church for requiem mass, at 9 a.m. Interment will be in St. Clement's RC cemetery.
