  Mrs. Arthur Murphy GUELPH, Mrs. Florence Mary Murphy, 37 Home St., mother of Roman Catholic Bishop Bernard J. Murphy of Hamilton, Bermuda, died Tuesday, in Kitchener. She was 86. The former Florence Clawsey, Mrs. Murphy was born March 3, 1885, in Brantford. She lived in the Preston-Kitchener area, most of her life. She was married in 1905 to Arthur Murphy, who died in 1968. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League and St. Clements RC Church, Preston. Surviving besides Bishop Murphy is another son William of Preston; two daughters, Mrs. William (Rita) O'Neill of St. Catharines and Mrs. John (Eileen) Seifried of Guelph; a brother, William and a sister, Rita, both of Brantford; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sons, Norman, Melvin, Clarence and Clifford and several brothers and sisters The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, from Thursday night, until Saturday, when requiem mass will be solemnized at St. Clement's cemetery.
