    • Dies Suddenly In Detroit

      Word has been received here of the sudden death of Mrs. Marion Carmody, 68, widow of the late Charles Carmody, in Detroit. Mrs. Carmody was stricken with a heart attack while a passenger on a street railway car on Tuesday and although she was immediately rushed to hospital, she died before reaching there. Her husband, before his death, was head of the fingerprint department of the Detroit Police Force. Deceased, who was 68 years old, was born in South Easthope, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lorentz Arnold, who later moved to New Hamburg. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Goering, Detroit, five sisters, Mrs. Edward Dietrich, Shakespeare, Mrs. John Reid, Mrs. J. J. Berger, and the Misses Matilda and Lavina Arnold, New Hamburg, and two brothers, John, Shakespeare and Eugene, New Hamburg. The funeral took place in Detroit on Thursday with services at the Church of Visitation in that city. Local relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Berger, Mr. Clayton Berger, Miss Marcella Berger, Mrs. John Reid, Miss Lavina Arnold and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Dietrich.
