Mrs. J[a]cob Hilborn Gone.
The remains were laid to rest in the Hagey Cemetery Preston of Mrs Jacob Hilborn of New Dundee who died on the eve of her eighty-second birthday. The mother of nine boys she lived an exemplary Christian life of service and rejoiced in seeing them all devoted, settled and carrying on. Her husband died nine years ago after 55 years of married life.
The sons who were all present at the funeral are: Isaac, Secretary Light Committee, Elmira: Amos, miller, New Dundee; Aaron W.. Secretary-Treasurer N.D. & S.W. Insurance Co., Galt: Emanuel, miller, Freelton; David W., merchant, Selkirk. Joseph, miller, Blair; Jesse W., merchant Paris: Jacob, miller, Radisson, Sask., and Edwin W., Secretary Westaway Brokerage, Hamilton.
Many friends and relatives from far and near were present.
