  DEATH OF MRS. CHAS. GERSTER DECEASED LADY WAS IN HER 84th YEAR. AND HAD RESIDED IN BERLIN FOR 25 YEARS. Many will regret to learn of the death at an early hour this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Boehmer, 35 College street, of Mrs. Charles Gerster, a well-known and highly respected resident of this is town for the past 25 years. The deceased's maiden name was Elizabeth Judin, and she was born in Baden, Germany, in April, 1827, and was thus in her 84th year at the time her death. She had been ill for some time, death being due to the ravages of old age. She was married in Buffalo on July 5th, 1846, to Charles Gerster, who passed away in 1882. Thirteen children were born, seven daughters and six sons. One of the daughters passed away in infancy, and another, Mrs. Chapman, died in Cleveland just four years ago. The surviving sons are Fred., of Preston; Charles, of Waterloo, William, of Cleveland Henry, of Des Moines, : George, of Alban, N. Y.: and Edward, of Vancouver. The daughters are Mrs. Devitt, of Hespeler, Mrs. Williams, of Hespeler, Mrs. Thrimble of Toronto. Mrs. Boehmer, of Berlin and Mrs. Moore of Brock and Forty-two grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren also survive.
