Notes |
- GEORGE SEILER
One of this citys oldest businessmen, George Seller, wellknown commercial photographer, passed away Sunday at Kitchener-Waterloo hospital after an illness of four weeks. Mr. Beller, who resided at 55 Queen street south, above his photographing establishment, was in his 79th year.
Born in this township, a son of the late George Seiler and Elizabeth Schmidt, he established himself in this city at the age of 25 years - more than half a century ago. During those years he made an enviable success of his trade. His name and work was wellknown in the furniture industry, not only locally but in other centres.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Leslie, Kitchener, one brother, John Seller of Palmerston, and four sisters, Mrs. Henry Meuser, Elmwood, Mrs. Kathrine Joachimi, Kitchener, Mrs. J. E. Bowers, Toronto, and Mrs. Henry Ahrens, Kitchener. Three brothers predeceased him.
Public funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. J. Spiers, minister of Church of the New Jerusalem, which church the deceased attended will officiate.
