  Mr. Alexander Strome Mr. Alexander Strome, a highly respected resident of Elmira, died on Wednesday morning, May 13th. after an extended illness of about 11 years. The deceased man was in his 62nd year, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Strome. He was born in the Township of Woolwich in 1870. He was married to Harriet Ann Stickney about. 35 years ago, and took up residence on a farm in Peel Township, North of Floradale, moving to Elmira from there about ten years ago. Two sons predeceased him. He leaves besides his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Orton Stricker of Beamsville, Mrs. Herbert Beggs of Linwood and Miss Myrta at home. Four brothers and one sister also survive, namely, Noah of Thorold, Norman of Hamilton, Urias of Winnipeg, Simon of Cayuga and Mrs. E. Stricker of Alma. Mr. Strome was a respected member of Wesley United Church.. The funeral will take place on Saturday from his late home at 33 Arthur Street, at 2 o'clock p.m., to Wesley United Church for service and thence to the Elmira Cemetery for interment.
