Notes - Heitz, Josef - At his late residence, 42 Fairview Ave., Kitchener, as the result of a heart attack, on Friday, March 31, 1978, in his 74th year. Josef Heitz, born in Yugoslavia and a resident of Kitchener for the past 22 years. A member of the German Congregation of St. Mary's RC Church, the Schwaben Club and a retired employee of Doon Twines Ltd. Son of the late Lorentz Heitz and Katharina Potz; beloved husband of Katharina; loving father of Katherine (Mrs. Paul Weiner) of Waterloo and Marie (Mrs. Simon Schaman) of Breslau; dear grandfather of Dr. John Schaman, Maryhill, and Anne (Mrs. Daniel Reiter) of Kitchener and Joe Weiner of Waterloo; dear brother of Stefan of Kitchener and Lorentz of Austria. Predeceased by two brothers. Visitation was at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton Street, Kitchener. Parish rosary Sunday at 8 pm. Prayers were offered at the funeral home on Monday, April 3, at 9: 30 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's RC Church at 10 am, Rev. Ed Wilfrid Systerman's SAC, officiated. Interment followed in Woodland Cemetery.
