- Edward G. Geil - Edward G. Geil of 133 MacGregor Cres., Waterloo, died Friday at his home from a heart attack. He was 79. Born at Drew Sept. 1, 1891, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Geil. He had lived in Waterloo for the past five years. Previously he farmed at Alsfeldt. He was a member of the Alsfeldt United Church, but since living in Waterloo, he attended Emmanuel United Church in Bridgeport. Surviving, besides his wife the former Rose Durst, are two sons, Ralph of Mississauga and Emerson of Waterloo, three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Doris) Zurbrigg of Listowel, Mrs. George (Mildred) Caldwell of Baton Rouge, La., and Mrs. David (Shirley) Howes of Harriston; a brother, Lloyd of Wilmette, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. L. C. (Lavina) Wolfe of Clifford, Mrs. Frank (Caroline) Ross of Etobicoke, Mrs. W.L. (Rose) Torrance of Hamilton, Mrs. Herbert (Maude) Hoffman of Kitchener and Mrs. John (Ella) Layton of Montreal, and 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
