  Gies, Eileen Anna - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, age 74 years, of Kitchener. Mrs. Gies was born in Kitchener and had been retired from Bell Canada after 35-1/2 years of service as a telephone operator. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1983; parents, Jacob and Wilhelmina Wagner; brother, Howard (1981), and a cousin, William Brinkert (1994). Survived by a nephew, Howard and his wife Christine, and a niece Sandra and her husband Roy Taite, all of Kitchener. At the request of the family, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, Oct. 6, 1994 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener at 11 am, Rev. Horst Aechtner officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian cancer Society would be appreciated and can be made through the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, 745-8445.
