  KNECHTEL, Dorothy At St. Mary's Hospital, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, after a brief illness. Violet Dorothy Knechtel, aged 88 years. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church and was a registered nursing assistant. Loving sister to Carol and her husband Alson Martin and Erma Gingerich all of Elmira, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ephraim Knechtel and Edna Snyder, three brothers Paul, Clifford and Orval and three sisters Grace and Fern and Lila Martin. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment will be in Mannheim Mennonite Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre and donations may be made to First Baptist Church Missions or Gideon Bibles, as expressions of sympathy through the funeral home.
