Notes - Zarnke, Elsie - Died at K-W Hospital, on Thursday, Nov. 25, 1993, age 71 years, of Waterloo. Mrs. Zarnke was born in Tobermory and was a daughter of the late Lily and Andrew Hopkins. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church and was retired from Wilfrid Laurier University Book Store. Beloved wife of J. Robert Zarnke; dear mother of C. Robert and his friend Gill, David and his wife Ruth Ann and Brian and his wife Doreen, all of Waterloo, Jim and his wife Barbara of London, Ont., and Beth and her husband Ed Goodwin of Kitchener. She is also lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren, Tracey and Tyler Godwin, Jeremy, Jason, Kimberly, Andrew, Michelle, Laura and Alyssa Zarnke; a brother, Tom Hopkins and his wife Shirley of Tobermory and a sister, Pearl and her husband Bert Hopkins of Wiarton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Cliff Craigie. Mrs. Zarnke's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 7-9 pm this evening (Thursday) and 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday. The funeral service will be held at Mount Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Interment to follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
