  Mrs. Martin Merklinger - Mrs. Martin Merklinger of 30 Alexandra Ave., Waterloo, died Monday at St. Mary's, Ont., after a lengthy illness. She was 88. Mrs. Merklinger, the former Elizabeth Roth, was born in East Zorra Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Roth. She lived most of her life in Waterloo and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Waterloo, and of the Ladies Aid. Surviving are three sons, Louis of Kingston, Rev. Dr. Harold Merklinger of Ottawa, and Ross of Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. George (Mary) Herbst and Mrs. Ray (Ada) Sinyard, both of Waterloo, and Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Hahn of St. Mary's; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1943 and by six brothers and three sisters. The body will be at the Edward R. Good funeral Home, Waterloo, until Thursday noon when removal will be made to Redeemer Church for the service at 3 p. Rev. G.W. Scholz will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
