  Goodwin, Ervin - Peacefully, at Sunnyside Home, on Saturday, Oct. 7, 1989, Ervin Goodwin, in his 77th year. Dearly loved husband of Bonetta (Betty) Goodwin (nee Elchert) of Kitchener; dearest father of Marlene and her husband George Jeffrey of Toronto, Barbara and her husband Hugh Hastings of Calgary, Norma and her husband Paul Bordman, Ross Goodwin, David and his wife Cynthia and Edward and his wife Elizabeth, all of Kitchener, Mr. Goodwin will be sadly missed by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaret Fries of Kitchener. He was predeceased by his parents the late Giles Goodwin and Alice Franklin; two daughters, Nancy and Carol in infancy; son-in-law, Scot Keith; one sister and six brothers. The family received friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S. (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener, on Sunday and Monday. Funeral service was held in the chapel today (Tuesday) at 1 pm, Rev. William Johnston officiated. Interment Memory Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, memorial considerations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
