  • Notes
    • In 1886 John Limpert opened a shop [barber shop] where Cliff Krieg is now and after ten years there he rented the space to The Merchants Bank of Canada who opened here that year, and moved his shop into the front portion of the present Robert Scott store and opened a billiard and pool room in rear.

His first shop was in charge of his brother, Harry Limpert, who was assisted by another brother, Irwin, and by John himself on a busy night. Fred Coughlin was in charge at the second shop until John quit the business.
