  SIMON, John J. - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Sunday, Oct. 14, 1984, after a lengthy illness, John Joseph Simon, aged 65 years, of New Dundee. Mr. Simon retired from the Waterloo Regional Police Force as Sergeant after 30 years of service; a member of the Waterloo Laurel Kiwanis Club. Beloved husband of the former Kathleen (Katie) Hoerle; dear father of David of Conestogo and Christine (Mrs. John Croth) of Kitchener; brother of Edward and Mrs. Helen Hurley, both of Kitchener and six grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Frank and one sister, Clara. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening. Funeral service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Father E. Sheridan officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery.
