    • DIAMOND, Lawrence Lawrence George Diamond, 70, of Shakespeare, passed away at University Hospital, London; with family by his side, on Thursday, April 15, 2010. He was born on May 8, 1939, a son of the late George and Lillian (Schmidt) Diamond. Lawrence had owned and operated Shakespeare Bowling Lanes and Diamond Coach Lines. He was an active member of the Shakespeare and Perth County Community, having been an active member of Shakespeare Presbyterian Church, the Optimist Club of Shakespeare, the SCAA and the North & South Easthope Volunteer Fire Department. He had served and was involved in many other committees and boards. He is survived by his wife, the former Carol Catherine Lebold, whom he married on July 1, 1966; three children, Keith Diamond of Tavistock, Paul Diamond and his friend Bev Bond of Shakespeare, Katherine and her husband Adam Rock of Shakespeare; four grandchildren, Colby Diamond, Katie, Nicole and Kayla Rock; one brother, Russell and his wife Jean Diamond of Stratford; two sisters, Alice and her husband Floyd Malcho of Crystal Lake, R. R. # 5, Stratford; Grace Diamond of Tavistock; sisters in- law and brothers-in-law, Frances Diamond, Elsie Diamond, Sharon Diamond, Harvey Roth and his wife Hilda, Gary and Valerie Lebold and Harvey Rabe. He was predeceased by two daughters in infancy; one granddaughter, Kailey Edith Rock, in infancy; three brothers, Ralph, Donald and Harold Diamond; one sister, Olive Roth; sisters-in-law, Sheila Rabe and Betty Kay Lebold and brothers-in-law, Keith Lebold and Bryan Lebold. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock, today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Shakespeare Presbyterian Church, Shakespeare, on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 1 p.m. The Rev. Glenn Kukkola will officiate. Interment in St. Andrew's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Shakespeare Presbyterian Church would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 519-655-2431.
