  Died at Stratford Mr. Chr. Hamel died suddenly at his home, Nelson St., Stratford, yesterday forenoon in his 88th year. The deceased was born in the Wellesley district, where he spent his earlier days, then he moved to Stratford. The late Mr. Hamel was well known in New Hamburg where a number of his nephews and nieces reside. His first wife and a daughter predeceased him. His widow, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Brill of New Hamburg, survives him. The funeral will be held Saturday forenoon with service in the Zion Lutheran Church and interment in Avondale Cemetery.
