- Harry Balak - Harry Balak, 532 Duke St. W., died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital following a heart attack. He was 76. Mr. Balak was born in Austria and came to Canada 57 years ago and to Kitchener 49 years ago. He worked as a maintenance man, retiring two years ago. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Annie Szwuluk. Surviving are his second wife, the former Pearl Komar; one son, Peter, Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Tilliger, Hamilton, Mrs. Kenneth (Nettie) Porter, Galt, and Mrs. William (Nell) Plomske, Kitchener; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home where funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 pm. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
