  Gowing, J. Elgin - At K-W Hospital, on Friday, April 4, 1986, after a brief illness, John Elgin Gowing, of 28 Ash St. W., Kitchener, aged 79 years. He was a member of St. Timothy's United Church. He had been employed at Uniroyal Ltd. for 30 years, until his retirement in 1970; he was a member of the long service club at Uniroyal. Husband of the former Mildred Deckert; brother of Wilbert of Glen Allan, Irene Rickert and her husband Earl of Kitchener. Six grandchildren, Kevin Sauder of Halifax, NS, Brock, David, Drew, Laura and Janice Gallant and her husband Jerry, all of Mississauga; two great-grandchildren, Michelle and Tanya Gallant of Mississauga; son-in-law, Ron Sauder and his wife Lorraine. Six nieces and seven nephews also survive. Predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Jean, in 1963; two brothers, Gordon and Harold and one sister, Winnifred. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 pm this evening, until funeral and committal service at 2: 30 pm, Monday from the chapel of the funeral home, with Rev.
