- GOODWIN, Theresa (Terry) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry on July 27, 2011 with her daughter Mona at her side, at Grand River Hospital as the result of a stroke, in her 84th year. She has now joined her beloved husband Harold (1996) and their children Dona (1982) and Garry (2008). She is survived by her daughters, Gloria of Wolf Island, Faith (Martin) Mienstra of Kitchener and Mona of Waterloo. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her faithful four-legged companion, Sadie. She is also survived by two brothers, three sisters and their families. Dear friend of Shirley McLean of Winnipeg, Manitoba and second "mom" to Alda Drumond of Kitchener. She was a member of St. Agnes RC Church, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Spending time at her home and enjoying her gardens gave her great happiness. She will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humour and quick wit. The family would like to thank Dr. Wren and the fifth floor nursing staff for all their support and care during this very difficult time. We would also like to thank our friends and neighbours for their concern and compassion, and especially Brett, Patti, Laura and Michael Carey for taking such good care of Sadie while Mom was in the hospital. At Terry's request, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A private family mass has been held and interment is at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo. Arrangements entrusted to Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo. "We can't feel saddened over the loss of those we love without first remembering the joy of loving them. The real sadness would have been never having them in our lives at all."
