  McDERMOTT, Rita (nee Miehm) - At her residence, 26 Wandsworth Place, Kitchener, on Tuesday, June 27, 1989, age 78 years. Mrs. McDermott was a member of St. Anne's RC Church, Kitchener. Mother of Ellen McDermott of west Germany, Maryanna and her husband Ron Nigrini of Toronto, dear grandmother of Melisa and Joseph Nigrini; sister of Terese Brenner, Vera Seeds and Arthur Miehm, all of Kitchener. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph William McDermott. On Friday, June 30, at 10 am a funeral mass will be held at St. Anne's RC Church, Kitchener, with Father G. Hayes officiating. Interment St. Mary's RC Cemetery, Elora. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's or K-W Hospital building Funds, by phoning the Edward R. Good funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, 745-8445.
