  McDermott, Joseph William (Joe) - Peacefully, at his residence, 26 Wandsworth Place, Kitchener, on Thursday, Sept. 17, 1987, Joe McDermott, age 75 years. He was a member of St. Anne's RC Church, Kitchener and was retired from Schlichter's Ltd. after 25 years of service. Survived by his wife, Rita (nee Miehm) and two daughters, Ellen of West Germany and Maryanne Nigrini and his son-in-law, Ron of Toronto; brother of Madeline Tone, Mary Milne and Helen Rooney. Also survived by two grandchildren, Melissa and Joseph Nigrini. Predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Bridget McDermott. At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass and committal will be held on Saturday at 10 am, from St. Anne's RC Church, Kitchener, Father Gerald Hayes officiating. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Elora.
