  Ritter, Merle Jane, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at her home in St. Jacobs at the age of 85 years. Merle (Kreller) Ritter was the beloved wife of the late Harold R. Ritter (2002). Dear mother of Rick, Roger and Linda, Sheila and Fred Colter, Todd, Kim and Jeff Nairn. Much loved G-ma of Lisa and Kyle, Mark and Myra and Robin; Cheri, Seth, Sarah and Eli; Amy and Jeff, Adam and Claudiane, Andrew and Sarah. Her great-grandchildren Rylan and Luca brought her great joy, even as her health declined. Sister of Fred Kreller. Sister-in-law of George and Ruth Ritter, Fred Ritter, Fran Reger, Doreen Ritter, Jean Adamson, Grace and Elgin McCandless. Predeceased by her son Peter (1952). At Merle's request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. In her memory, donations to St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
