  Goettling, Henry (Harry) - On Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996, at Beechwood Manor, Waterloo, Henry Goettling, formerly of New Dundee. He was born in Wilmot Township 90 years ago, a son of the late William and Henrietta (Einwechter) Goettling. Henry had owned and operated Henry Goettling Nursery (Gardening) for over 60 years. He had attended the World Wide Church of God. He had played Bass Drum in the New Dundee Union Band in his younger years and had assisted in the construction of the stone work at the entrance of the New Dundee Park. Beloved husband of Catherine Rosina Filsinger who predeceased him in 1943. Loving father of Ruth and her husband Peter Collins of Kitchener; dear bother of Edna Bogusat of Virgil, Ont. and Lydia and her husband Alvin Dench of Waterloo. He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd and Nelson; a sister-in-law, Martha Goettling and a brother-in-law, Max Bogusat. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Friday) from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3 pm, with Pastor Don Stroh and Tony Stryker officiating. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery, New Dundee.
