  Shoemaker, Helen Margaret - Suddenly and after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at Sunnyside Home, Helen Shoemaker, of Kitchener. Helen was predeceased by her brother, Norman on Saturday. She will be sadly missed by her brothers, Yale, Ronald and Gerard and his wife Marina and by her sisters, Gladys Litzgus and June Nolan and her husband John, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Tuesday, January 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where parish prayers will be held at 8: 30 pm. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9: 15 am, followed by a joint funeral mass with her brother at St. Anthony Daniel RC Church, 29 Midland Drive at 10 am. At Helen's request cremation will follow. A reception will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre, following the interment of her brother in Woodland Cemetery. Helen's remains will be interred in Woodland Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada.
