  Schaus, Ronald Howard Passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Martha for 54 years. Loving father of Karen and her husband Blake Martin, and Kelly and her husband Mike Dybowski. Proud "Papa" of Amanda, Abe, Zack and Lucas. Dear son of the late John and Hazel Schaus and brother of the late Marlene Ahrens. Ron was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and part of the choir. He was a longtime employee of J. M. Schneider. Following his retirement, Ron enjoyed serving people at St. Jacob's Market. He had a great love of music and passion for entertaining. He enjoyed playing his saxophone, performing in his band and singing in various choirs, including the Schneider Male Chorus and Gloryland Chorus. Ron's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday December 29, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. There will also be visitation at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave., from 10 am on Tuesday December 30, 2014 until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Huntington Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
