    • John H. Hollinger - The funeral service for John H. Hollinger of 109 Talbot St. will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home. Mr. Hollinger died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was 48. Born in Kitchener, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George E. Hollinger. He spent all his life here, working 33 years for Uniroyal Ltd. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Rockway Golf Club. He served overseas in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Artillery and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 50. Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Plomske whom he married in 1947; two sons, David and Larry, both at home; two brothers, Carl and Floyd, both of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Willis (Marie) Shantz of RR 2,Waterloo, Mrs. Samuel (Florence) Roth of RR 3, Waterloo, Mrs. Harold (Alfrieda) Fischer and Mrs. Wray (Ruth) Stephenson, both of Kitchener. Dr. H.W. Opperman of St. Peter's Lutheran Church will officiate at the funeral service. Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery.
