  Gowing, L. Marguerite (Mrs. Ivan C.) - On Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Marguerite (Fleming) Gowing, in her 86th year, of Elmira. Wife of the late Ivan C. Gowing (August 31, 1978). Loved mother of Ron and Ann Gowing of Elmira, Joyce and Brian Scully of Calgary. Also lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren, Duane and Heather, Gail and her friend Rod, Catherine and Garrett and by her two great-grandsons, Evan and Easton. Sister of Peter and Mabel Fleming of Bittern Lake, Alberta, Grace Ross of Alvinston, Ilene Dobson of Courtright and Sam Fleming of Corunna and sister-in-law of Ruby Gaudreault of Leduc, Alberta, Kay Fleming of Victoria, BC and Lucille Fleming of Watford. Also remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Mary (Cameron) Fleming; her five brothers, Ivan, Leonard, Arnold, Archie and Jim. Marguerite was the last surviving member of Ivan's family. She was a longtime faithful member of the United Churches in both Glen Allan and Elmira. As well at the UCW she was an active member of the Seniors Group in Elmira Participating in cards, quilting and carpet bowling. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday, Jan 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, Jan 9 at 11 am, with Rev.
