- Joseph A. Weidenhammer - By Record Correspondent - Elmira, Dec. 29 - Joseph Alexander (Alex) Weidenhammer, son of Mrs. Sam Carnochan, 2 Ratz Street, Elmira, died in hospital at Edmonton, Dec. 20. Mr. Weidenhammer, who was 41 years of age, had been in ill health for some time with a form of paralysis. He was born in Woolwich Township but went to Alberta with his uncle, the late Conrad Weidenhammer, when very young. He was engaged in farming near Edmonton. He returned to Elmira occasionally for visits. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. His father died in 1906 and he is survived by his mother, his step-father, Mr. Carnochan, two sisters, Mrs. William Manning, Bridgeport, and Mrs. Allan Goodwin, Kitchener, and a half-sister, Mrs. Harold Wilker (Edna Carnochan) at home. The funeral was held at Edmonton last Wednesday.
