The many friends and acquaintances of Mr. James R. Peddar, O.E. of Doon, will be shocked to learn of his death, which occurred on Sunday morning at 4 o'clock at the early age of 28 years, 7 months and 12 days. Deceased had been in failing health for the last year, brought on by a dreadful exposure while in the pursuit of his calling as a Civil Engineer. He was a young man in the prime of life, with every prospect of a brilliant and prosperous future and was possessed of a kind and affectionate disposition, making hosts of friends, who will be pained to hear of his death. The funeral took place from the residence of his father to the Blair cemetery on Wednesday afternoon -
