    • Mrs. John H. Duench

      The death of Mrs. John H. Duench, 50, of 78 Chestnut St., occurred suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital yesterday following a cerebral hemorrhage. She was stricken Thursday.

      The daughter of the late John Hebel and Mary Hopp she was born at Kitchener, March 9, 1897 and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society, St. Paul's, Bridgeport, and a past noble grand of the Brilliant Rebekah Lodge. Her marriage to John H. Duench, who survives, took place at Kitchener, June 12, 1919.

      Also surviving are one son, Garvin, Kitchener; two daughters, Phyllis and June at home; and two brothers, Edgar of Kitchener, and Charles of Allegan, Mich. One son, Sgt. Floyd Duench, R.C.A.F., was killed in an accident in August, 1945.

      The remains will rest at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until Tuesday at one o'clock when removal will be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church for service at 2: 30. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Dr. John Schmieder will officiate.
