    • Alexander Bernhardt, Rev. K. Syer officiating. Mr. Bernhardt, was born in Kitchener. Ont.. in 1876 and. as a youn man, moved to South Dakota, and came to Alberta in 1906 when he homesteaded four miles south of what eventually became Coronation. While homesteading he also operated a small store to supply neighboring homesteaders. He moved to Coronation in 1911 and worked in co-operation with E. R. Haney in the general store business, He eventually sold the homestead and went Into the Implement business which he operated until recent years, when he retired. He married Eleanor Richardson In 1924, and besides his wife he is survived by four children, Christina, Katherine. Victoria and Richard, also a brother. Jack, and sister, Katherine, of Breslau, Ont. Many friends and acquaintances attended the services to pay their final respects, and stores closed for one hour in his honor.
