      Peacefully, at Hilltop Manor, in Cambridge, on Saturday, Aug 24. 1996, Clarence Deemert, in his 81st Year. Loving husband of Helen: dear father of Dianne and her husband Bill Kovats of Cambridge; proud grandpa of Karen and her husband Joe Dakin. David and his wife Julianne, Trish and her husband Kellen Kragelj and Cathy and her husband Dave Stainsby, great-grandfather of Alyssa and Bradley. Survived by two sisters, Loretta Coughlin and Dora Richardson and one brother, Lawrence “Bud" Deemert. Predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Bernard and two sisters, Rita Porter and Mary Kohli and one great-granddaughter, Jenalee (1987). Clarence was a former resident of Cambridge (H) and was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Visitation RC Church. Clarence served overseas, with the RCAF and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Hespeler Branch 272 for many years. Friends may call at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Monday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Clements RC Church, Duke Street, Cambridge, Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 10.a.m. Interment New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge.
